Saturday

The Stag Party was a big success. A good time was had by all. Even the future groom was in good shape till someone opened the SoCo, along with the Ice 101. Bad idea’s. About one hour after, everybody seemed to leave. They had to carry out the future groom, and was seen puking out of the back of a pickup as they left… I knew everything was going to go bye bye, after they opened those two bottles. We killed the keg, and cleaned up all before 11:30. I was home and snug in my bed by midnight. I woke up with indigestion about 2:00 am. Couldn’t get rid of it till almost 5:00 am. Then I went to sleep. The only bad part of the evening, no dancing girls. They had car trouble and couldn’t make it out to the event. I thought we would all end up down to VJ’s, but no one wanted to go. They all ended up going to Herkimer. Oh well!
Today’s been kind of a wasted day. I did do my grocery shopping today and went to the Legion to see how everybody made out. No major problems over there so I guess I’ll just spend the rest of the day goofing off and watching the tele… Keep your stick on the iced…

Oh by the way, I won my own donated bottle of bourbon at the party. A bottle of Booker’s Bourbon. But after everyone complained I gave the bottle to Jay. He’ll enjoy it, if his wife doesn’t dump it down the drain…..

Friday!!!!!

It's the start of the weekend. Yeah! Party time tonight, a stag party for Jay's son. Yeah! Beer, food, beer, dancing girls, beer.
Did I mention dancing girls? Did I mention beer? Not that they are important, but I regress. I still have to behave myself.
I have to go see Dr. Butala on Monday. I guess that where I part with some blood. So I better be on my best behavior and not get too wasted. LOL. Like that's not going to happen. I just better recuperate really well.
I wasted the whole day yesterday, waiting for a callback from someone at Social Services . Looks like I'll be heading over there to find out whats going on with my case. I still got plenty of phone calls that I didn't want. LOL . Guess everyone wants to dick with me.. That's it for now, so Keep your stick on the ice....

{if anyone is wondering about the "keep your stick on the ice" refference, it comes from The Red Green Show on television, seen on PBS and CBC.}

Another HOT and HUMID day

Well I' back from a little running around. Went to Walmart, not my favorate place but..... I guess I shouldn't complain. If they don't have it, you don't need it or can't afford to buy it. Ran into my buddy Don. He mentioned my post from the other day about Walmart. He asked me why I'm shopping when it's crowded and what am I doing taking up residence talking with him blocking the isles and stuff..... Oh well guess I'm a hipocrit...LOL...Any way, I was looking for a new belt. Went to Kmart first, they didn't have anything close to my size. I looked around, nothing in my size in anything. A lot of stuff on sale, cheap, close out, but I don't need any of that stuff. Then went to Walmart. Again nothing in my size. Guess I'll have to send to Omar. You know Omar the tent maker. Well Omar has a cousin who makes belts and other leather goods. I'll have to have Omar get one from his cousin for me.
I'm home now and pooped out from the heat and humidity. Guess Ill take a nap. For those who don't remember, Keep your stick on the ice,

Interesting Mail..................

Well finally some good news in the mail. A notice from Social Services,Notice of Medical Assistance Disability Determination. They approved me. Thats Cool. now I can get help paying my health care bills. Most people don't know what it's like to not have health insurance. I'll have to contact them to see what it really means. Do I get Medicaid, or do I just get the Disablity determination. I also have to find out how it effects my Social Security disablility claim.
Again it's freakin HOT out. I turned on the air conditioner in the living room early, about 10:00am. It's nice and cool in the living and dinning rooms. Kitchen is comfortable, but the bathroom and back hallway is really hot. Guess I'll stay in all day and keep COOL.
I'll leave you with a little thought of the day....
To often, we lose sight of life’s simple pleasures. Remember, when somebody annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, But only 4 muscles to extend your arm and Bitch-Slap that mother@#?!&! upside the Friggin Head,

Keep your stick on the Ice......

Guess what?
I won on the Nascar Pool. WOW! Big deal, it’s only $40-$45. Either my phone bill gets paid or my cable…LOL… Well that’s a good thing. It’s MUGGY, I mean very freaking MUGGY. It feels like rain. Wish it would rain, it would clean out the air a little and ease up the humidity. Almost need a chain saw to cut the air just to breathe.
Today I have to mail out all my paperwork to the IRS and Social Security. Had to go and see if the bank would give me a second mortgage to pay my back taxes. I know and everybody else knows that they aren’t going to give me a loan to pay taxes when I can’t even pay the regular loan. But IRS has to have a denial letter to say that I can’t get a loan. They expect me to take out a loan to pay taxes if I get the loan. Well “No Fucking Way”, will I take out a loan just to pay taxes. They can seize my property for all I care. Not that I will be here that long. Either the bank or the County will kick me out sooner or later. Now I have to wait till 1:00pm for the post office to open back up. They close for lunch at 11:00 am and then open up at noon or 1:00. And they say that they have a tough job. Bullshit. They get all these benefits and now they get a two-hour lunch break. Must be frigging nice! Well any way I have to buy some bigger envelopes to send this stuff out. The IRS didn’t have an envelope with their stuff. The Soc. Sec. had a small envelope, but it’s not large enough for all the pages of theirs. So now it will cost me four or five dollars to send them out. Oh, well. Time for my lunch. A nice big salad and some fruit……….
Guess it’s time, so keep your stick on the ice………………..

Sunday

My favorite Sunday morning past time, grocery shopping. Went over to Walmart. Much though I would rather shop elsewhere, but when you have to stretch out your dollars, you shop where you get the best deal. 8:00 in the morning you can walk around take your time and not bump into everybody and have a nice quiet, non-eventful time. You know, everybody talks about Walmart, are they the best thing to happen to your area? Maybe, but it depends on your point of view. I won’t go into any details or discuss any of the good point’s or bad point’s of Walmart. It’s just there. You can shop it or not. That’s your choice. Enough on Walmart. You know Sunday morning is a great time to go shopping, less people. Those that are out and about this early, seem to be friendlier and not so much in a hurry to get there. That’s the biggest plus for Sunday shopping. I really hate to go during the week, because everybody is a little bent out of shape at the same reason you hate to go. Too many friggin assholes that are in a hurry and too many idiots that get in your way and just make it miserable to shop.
I bought grapes, white and red seedless. They have been so good this year. I bought a few things I shouldn’t have. Some extra stuff I don’t need, but I saw and just had to have them. I was going to make Zucchini Surprise, and I picked up the normal wide egg noodles and then I saw them, whole wheat noodles. Thought they would be nice to try, and then I thought of brown rice, and if I’m getting brown rice, how about regular white rice and then and then… So you see I just had the, why not’s. Guess I should make a list then stick to it. Oh well, I might not need to shop for a while.
Yesterday I finished the paper work for the Taxman, (in my case the Tax Lady), and the questionnaire they sent for my Social Security disability claim. The tax stuff was the usual stuff, what do you have, what you need, lalalala… The disability forms where really in depth. How do you do this, do that, how does your diablility effect this and that, do you need help doing this, that and the other. I see where they need this information, but when they get Dr. reports and statements, they should know that people couldn’t do this or that or the other. Maybe I just don’t like talking about not being able to do the things I used to do before I got these problems.
The weather has been absolutely BEAUTIFUL these past few days. This morning is no exception. I actually can breath pretty good. The humidity is down quite a bit from the previous weeks.
I just might go for a ride this afternoon. Maybe down towards Cooperstown. Hey, I haven’t been down that way since I took Kim to Bassett Hospital several years ago. And I haven’t been to the Baseball Hall of Fame, since I was a little kid. Yes I live so close to the Hall of Fame, and have no excuse for not going there in forty-five years or more. I know it, I’m a bag… It would be packed down there. I hate to go where there are so many people at once. One of the last times I was down their, back in 1993, Dad had bought his last “new” car and we just took a ride. We ended up in Cooperstown, and couldn’t find a place to park, even in the parking lots out side of town. I bet there had to be an extra ten thousand people in town that day. So I guess, I’ll head the other way, maybe up to Old Forge. I haven’t been up to my old stomping grounds in a long time. I’ll just have to wait till fall to go to the Baseball Hall of Fame, when it’s less crowded and I can take my time in the museum. Speaking of Hall of Fames, I’d like to go back to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. To bad my sister doesn’t leave there any more, I could save a lot of money, if she still lived there.
Most likely I’ll end up going over to the Legion and watch the race today. I got four squares on the pool this week. One of them I’m sharing with Lea Anne. I could use a win this week. I got to pay my phone bill and cable bill. I won second once this year. So I’m just about even for the year. I wasn’t a big race fan until recently. Dad used to watch every race that was on, each and every Saturday. I used to watch them with him when it was raining or if I wasn’t out playing or hanging out with my friends. But I don’t go hog wild over it. I would like to go to race someday.
I guess I’ll have to save my money to go someday. Used to go to hockey games with Mom, Dad and Sue all the time. Also went to Buffalo to see the Bills play several times. I guess the best time was when Dad and I went to the game after Mom died. Sue got corporate rates for Residence Inn in the northern part of Buffalo. She didn’t go to the game, she was sick. Dad and I got to watch the game and just hang out. After the game we got stuck in the traffic. The game ended about 10:00pm and we got back to the hotel about 1:30am. We sat in the car, in the parking lot for almost an hour, then it still took us took us another two and a half hours to get back. We were giving everybody the business when they would try to crowd us out of the way or try to pass us on the wrong side of the road. It was a blast hearing my Dad yell at the goofballs. Good thing I was driving. He just might have got us into an accident. I almost got hit about three times…
Oh well, I guess I’ve spouted off long enough. Till next time, “Keep your stick on the Ice”.

A New Home For Dave!!!!

I guess I got fed up with Aol Blogs or Journals...... I found this place and hope this works out fairly well. But what can you expect for nothing??? I guess I'll start out with yesterday's post that I "couldn't upload to AOL.....

This post is from Friday at 10:00 am
I guess I’m in a little fog today. I feel hung over, but I didn’t have anything to drink last night, or even yesterday. The Clam Smear couldn’t have taken this long to work out of my system? Could it? Oh well, I’ll just suffer, maybe my daily dose of aspirin will take care of the headache. I had two pots of decafe coffee yesterday, could that be what I’m feeling. I know you can’t completely get rid of all the caffeine in coffee, and I used the stuff I ground at the machine at the store. Who knows if they actually put decafe in the dispenser.
London got bombed again. You know I really wonder if it’s terrorists or just copycats or a group of radicals who crave attention. I can’t figure out what their problems are. But you know logic say’s you don’t change the world by bombing and killing people. It just pisses of the people who have the big guns, And you know what? The people with the big guns tend to use them. Which is not a good thing. I won’t get into the political or religious ends of this, but I think they all should take a minute, well maybe longer, like a day, or a week or maybe a year. Think long and hard about what they are doing then, take a gun, load it with as many bullets it will hold. Then go up to the assholes that put that idea in their head and then shoot them, leaving one bullet to shoot themselves in the head for being to FUCKING STUPID TO THINK THAT DEATH IS THE FUCKING ANSWER.
I Know, I said it. I shouldn’t have, but I did. Oh well. Sue Me.
