Well it’s that time of the year, Christmas. When everyone is supposed to be Merry….Ha ha ha, Ho ho ho.!!! And all that shit.
I guess you can say I’m getting in the spirit. I wrapped my one and only gift. That’s all I can afford. But what the hey, everyone who doesn’t get one from me, sorry, but times are tuff…….. Well that’s better than the other day, when I went down town.(It’s only a few blocks). I said Hello to someone as I passed and he mumbled something back like “go fuck yourself” and smiled at me. Well I hope he felt better, I thought I was the only Scrooge in town. It made my day. Of course it didn’t last long because I had to walk down to the Village offices and pay my light bill. (At least it’s not my NiMO bill.) You know it was FUCKING COLD out. I also had to go to Right Aid to pick up a prescription. It was FUCKING COLD out. Then walk all the way home. It was FUCKING COLD out. Know wonder the guy told me to go Fuck myself. It wasn’t the Holidays, it was the COLD, FUCKING COLD.
Well I’m going away for a week or so. Down to my sister, the other side of Albany. I get to visit with Tucker. Yes the pooch with attitude. A real Kewl Dude… So I will be out of touch for a while. Well slightly out of touch. Those that need me will know how to get in touch with me.
So Happy Holidays. Merry Christmas and all that good cheer. Make sure you have the good cheer… And lots of it… And if you must drink, don’t drive. Unless it’s a video game…

A very good Saturday.
Yesterday was one of those good days. You know, the days that make you feel good and have a great time doing what you do. Our Kiwanis club has its meetings every Saturday morning at 8:00 in the morning. Like every Saturday we had our meeting at the Knight Spot. After the meeting some of us Kiwanians went to Walmart, (yes we braved the Shopping Mad crowds) to buy gifts and presents for The Gram Loraine Project.
Every Christmas our club along with other civic and charitable organizations buy presents for needy kids and families in the area. We’ve been doing this for three or four years now. Each Kiwanian had two or three individual kids to shop for. We get a coat, some clothing that is needed and a toy for each kid. The schools identify the kids who would be the recipient of a Christmas present package. This year we had to shop and wrap presents for sixteen kids.
After shopping, we went back to The Knight Spot to wrap presents. We had one or our junior clubs; The Builders Club join us to wrap presents. We had about twenty-two sixth, seventh and eighth grade boys and girls to help wrap the presents. Actually we had them wrap all the presents as one of their service projects for the year. We just supervised and we bought the pizza, chicken wings and the sodas for every one. We had a great time. The kids did also. After things were pretty well wrapped up, we had a few beers with Alex before calling it a day well spent.
With that in mind, I figured I still had plenty of time to go home and make my chili. Hooray for chili! I had started soaking my beans last night and by the time I got home, I figured I’d better at least cook them up before they get yucky, so I started the whole thing. Put the beans on, then chopped up my onions and a few stalks of celery. Yes celery, just a few, it makes the base for the chili kind of more well rounded. I used olive oil; extra virgin of coarse, then started to sweat the onions and celery.
I chopped up what was left of my chipoltle peppers in adobo sauce, then added that to the pot. Of coarse salt, and pepper. Not too much on the salt, it’s not good for my blood pressure, but that is the only salt I add. Just a pinch. Some garlic, or in my case yesterday, garlic powder. Some chili powder, lots of chili powder, about three tablespoons. I then added my ground turkey. It makes a good chili.
I let that all cook together and brown up nicey nice. Then added my can of crushed tomatoes and the juice from a can of plum tomatoes. I add the plum tomatoes later so I have pieces of tomato in my chili when it’s done. After my beans are done I add them and let every thing simmer for about twenty minutes to meld together. Just to sweeten or mellow out the chili, I add two or three spoonfuls of honey. Then it’s suppertime… YUM YUM!!
Okay, I know, I’ve done the chili thing before, but you know it’s more art than science to making a good pot of chili. But you might say that chili is not chili unless you add beans. Some may say you shouldn’t add beans. Well no matter what you like, chili is chili. When you finish your bowl of chili, you have that endorphin rush from the capsaasin from the chipoltle peppers. Yes the hot peppers, (smoked halipino peppers), have the chemicals in them to release the endorphins that make you feel really good. Natures little had rush…
Well I guess I’ve spent enough time reveling about chili. How about the fact, that I didn’t rant about all the idiots at Walmart? Well I guess my mind was on the task at hand and nothing was going to stop me from my intended rounds……. Jeeze, maybe there is a Santa Claus after all….
I know that there is a Bubba Claus. He delivers in the “Southern” State, (just a little humor).
Okay, okay, I’ve said enough for today, nothing left to bitch about.
(The day isn’t over yet)… So, Keep your stick on the Ice.

Been sort of under the weather the past few days. Actually I have been moving very slowly for about three days. My right hip has been killing me. I guess I pulled a muscle or two. I was stiff and in quite a lot of pain. But thankfully I had some muscle relaxers and Tylenol. I even resorted to using the heating pad. That worked pretty well. Yesterday was the first day I could move fairly well. Today, I’m a little sore yet and will take my time and be careful, I don’t hurt myself.
Well it’s snowing. Yes, they even closed all the schools around the Mohawk Valley. Why when we were kids, they made us go to school, even walk to school in a foot of snow. These kids get the royal treatment. They can’t cross any major street or highway, they have to be bussed. Well I guess when we were kids, nobody really thought about safety as much as they do today. Not that I think it’s a bad idea, but if you have the right people as crossing guards and strictly enforce speed limits in and around school zones, the kids should be made to walk to and from school. Maybe they would get some more exercise. But their safety is more important.
I haven’t been sleeping to well lately. Must be I’m not used to all the snow traffic. You know plows, sanders and other snow removal vehicles. What is it with me, I always live near the village or town highway garage? Just my luck. They have someone on the road doing something twenty-four hours a day in the winter. Plus, I’m lucky enough to be just down the street from the fire department. When the fire whistle blows when I’m sleeping, I feel I lift off the bed about three feet. But usually, after the whistle goes off I can get back to sleep pretty easy.
Now for the real BITCH section…….
I got my gas bill yesterday. You know I’ve been really trying to save energy, but what the fuck do they want from us. My thermostat is set no higher then sixty at any time, and most of the time it’s below sixty. I wear sweaters and sweatshirts and sweatpants. My bill went up another hundred bucks. I have just enough money this month to pay everything except my phone bill, which I haven’t received yet. I hope the give me some of the HEAP money for next month. I’ll have to be cold the next few month’s. Oh well!!!

Ahhh, coffee. I’m not quite awake yet. Even after my shower, I’m still a little bit groggy this morning. Yes, it’s a slow starting morning. I have this pulled muscle or something in my right hip. It’s been very sore and last night I took a couple of Tylenol and a muscle relaxant that my Dr. had prescribed for another muscle pull. And I slept a little bit better after I found a comfortable spot to lay in. That muscle relaxant really makes me groggy, and I don’t usually take anything other than Tylenol for aches and pains, but I could not find a position that I wasn’t in pain in, last night. So I resorted to the other. That’s why I’m still kind of behind in the waking up department.
It’s been a few days since my last post. Had to go to Doctors the other day. They scheduled me for a CAT Scan after the first of the year. They also had me take some extra blood tests to see what’s wrong, if anything. Then they will start a treatment program if they know what’s wrong. Who knows, they might just take out some blood from time to time, or do some kind of chemo or something. Maybe nothing at all.
Getting around this winter is going to be an inconvenience for me this year, without my truck, but that’s life. Luckily, I have a few friends to drive me to the Dr.’s visits and to get groceries. So far, I’ve been lucky I haven’t had to use the bus or taxis. That will save money for the heat bill. I’m just waiting for the shock of my heat bill. When you hear the big crash, and a mortal scream, it’s me. Yes I will most likely go ballistic when I see it.
We all survived Black Friday, and I didn’t go anywhere near any shopping centers or stores. Last Friday, a week later I went to Walmart for groceries and the place was packed with everybody and their r34latives, wall to wall assholes… Just what I don’t like. But, I hunkered down and got the job done, then sat down in Dunkin Donuts and had some coffee watching all the idiots like me, shopping on Friday. Boy was I glad I was done with mine.

Black Friday..........
Bbbbblack Friday is here. Oh nooooooooooo…..!!!!!!!!!
Don’t go near the malls, stores or shopping centers today. Unless you want to be totally annoyed, and pissed off. Let’s face it, the start of the Christmas season brings out the worst in people. Lousy drivers, always in a hurry. Then when they get you in the crazy hurried up mood, they stop right in front of you, without warning. Then they turn around and look at you like, what’s your fucking problem. Or they get you so pissed of at the checkout. They have a loaded shopping cart, and you have one or two items in your hands and they won’t let you go ahead of them. Which really is no big deal, because you’ve waited just as long as they have and you already had expected they wouldn’t let you go before them. Just as they get up to the register and before they start to unload, they have their other two family members bring up their four kids, and they all have carts that are loaded with everything, including the kitchen sink. Mean while, you could have gone to another register and even started at the back of the line and get through and out the door before the family from hell has gotten all checked out. Oh’ by the way, grandma who was waiting by the register has to come up and pay for all the stuff, which takes fifteen minutes. Because she has to count out the exact change and makes sure that all of the discounts and coupons are all accounted for…………….
I guess you get the picture, I hate going shopping on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Speaking of Turkey Day, I had a great day. Had coffee with Mark in the morning, then went and paid my respects to the bartender at the Legion, Then went with Art and family to the Mohawk Station. Had a great dinner there. After din din, we went to Arts dad’s for a while then back home and a few Manhattans before Art went home and I relaxed and went to bed. All in all, not to shabby of a day. I even watched some of Finding Nemo.
I wonder how much painting Sue will get done and if she’ll spend the day shopping. Oh well guess I’m done for today, keep your stick on the ice……..

It’s Turkey Week!!!!
It started out with Turkey at Keith and Kim’s. Always a good time and good food. Yes, I ate too much, like always… Oh well!
I have to stop. Time for a joke,
Bill Clinton will be recorded in history as the only President to do Hanky Panky between Bushes.
Now back to my blog…
Thanksgiving, I have two choices for din din, Turkey and all the trimmings at The Legion, or Turkey day festivities with Art and Lynn and his dad, at The Mohawk Station. Guess where I’ll be???
Most likely both. I’ll be disowned by both, if I don’t go to either one. My sister is staying home with the four-legged hell raiser. They will be painting again this T- day. That’s O.K. I get to invade Sue’s at Christmas time for several days… Watch out Tucker, there will be a new Sheriff in town for those days. I won’t let you chew on Sue’s dining room table legs…
Time for another joke…
Chrysler Corporation is adding a new car to its line to honor Bill Clinton. The Dodge Drafter will be built in Canada.
Yes we do miss our President Clinton.
Dubbya is just to depressing to think he’s funny. In the beginning he was funny, but after his first term, he just became so full of shit… or was it the people around him giving him the so called miss - information or was it he didn’t really give a shit?
Well that was depressing, talking about our current President. I’ll stop right there. Time for another joke…..
“Yep, that’s right - I miss Bill Clinton! He was the closest thing we ever got to having a black man as President.
Number 1 - He played the sax.
Number 2 - He smoked weed.
Number 3 - He had his way with ugly white women.
Even now? Look at him... his wife works, and he don’t!
And, he gets a check from the government every month.
Well that’s enough for today. I’ll have detail’s on the Turkey day festivities later in the week… See ya in the funny papers. Don’t forget, Keep your stick on the Ice………………………………….

First real morning of Snow...
Yes I think it’s just freakin great. We finally got SNOW, (that dirty four letter word we dread this time of year), Big Fat Hairy Deal! Not that we got much, just enough to cover the ground this morning. But it looked slippery out, and Mark said the sidewalks were slippery. Oh well, guess we can’t put it off any more. Just last night I turned up the heat to about 58degrees. I’m still scared to turn it up any more than I have. NiMo will be really expensive this winter. Good thing I filled out that application for HEAP.
I’m soaking my beans for my dreaded Kielbasa bean soup. Yes the almighty will be heard from this weekend. Think I’ll make it Saturday. Es I need to go get some Kielbasa, and maybe a six pack of beer with that. I’m invited to Herman’s, Oh, excuse me, Keith’s house for Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner. I guess every one over there has got to work on Thanksgiving. I’ll bet at all different times that day, so they wanted to get everyone together on Sunday when they are all available at one time.
Both RenĂ© and Paul work at the area hospitals and Keith works evenings and Kim works overnights so It’s hard to get them all together. It should be a good day on Sunday for all…. Maybe I’ll bring something in the alcohol related or maybe something from the bakery… I don’t know. I’ll have to see if I can figure out what to bring.
I finaly got my back door sealed up today, and was checking out the spare room to see if I needed to seal the window up. I got to snooping in my boxes of stuff and found my sharpening stones that I’ve been looking for, for a long time. So after I cleaned up the hallway mess, I sharpened my kitchen knives. Watch out, they are now pretty sharp. I also found a book I’ve been looking for, for quite some times. I know I loaned it to someone, but couldn’t figure out whom, and if I got it back. So now I have a book that I haven’t read in a long time, to read again. It’s another book by Harry Harrison, called The Turing Option. He’s one of my favorite writers. Kind of a departure from his Stainless Steel Rat books. But I remember it was very good. It’s about a scientist working in robotics and Artificial Intelligence, who gets shot in the head and has his brain damaged by the bullet, Then has a chip implanted in his brain, to help him be able to be rehabilitated and all that stuff. Really involved, but well worth the time.
Guess I’ll be getting to my reading……
See you later. But remember to Keep Your Stick on the Ice..

Hey what do you know? I’m posting again. I kind of got out of the daily or every other day posting, just didn’t have to much to sat that wasn’t just plain bitching for no apparent reason. So I guess I have to put something in.
It’s cold and damp and miserable today. But otherwise it’s okay for November. Yesterday, I took the bus to and back from the doctors. Not that bad of an experience. Doctor said I’d live and gave me a flu shot and drew some blood for the other Doc., when I see him at the end of the month.
Had to wait and wait and fuckin wait to see the doctor. But otherwise, I got in early and the nurse did her things and gave me the shot and drew blood pretty fast. The best part was I only had to wait about five minutes for the bus, for the ride back to Frankfort. Then I just hung out the rest of the day
doing nothing.
Oh the big news, the store has opened up downstairs. Yes Mark and his wife got their license, had some stuff delivered. I helped them with pricing and ordering. They should do okay. They seem to have a good attitude, plus Mark has had his own businesses before. I have been walking a lot more and I’m feeling better than I have for quite some time. I might not be losing weight as fast as I’d like, but my pants keep fitting better and better.
Tommorrow I’ll be walking down to the bank and to the Village offices to pay my light bill and water bill as well as the Post Orafice to send out my NiMo, ooopps, National Grid bill. Then I will be in the poor house for the rest of the month. I’ve got money put aside for Turkey day at The Mohawk Station, when Art and Lynn come down. Plus I have some other money and food stamps, just in case I need some stuff. Oh well it’s not easy, being cheesey………
I’ve been reading up on my bourbon again. Just something to read about before I go to bed at night. If I get to interested in my other books, I stay up reading to late and have a hard time getting up in the morning. Not that, that should bother me. I usually don’t have anything to do most days. It seems that they use hops in making bourbon and other fine American whiskeys. Notice I spelled whiskey with the ‘e’. The hops is used in small amounts, like three to five ounces in a batch, or what they call a mashbill. Wow, I’d better not get to technical. Anyways, there was something I knew I liked about bourbon, besides the taste. Any time you put hops and water into a cooker, you get something called beer. And you know, I love beer. They might only use a little, but they still use hops. The most perfect ingredient to use to make a beverage. On the book they also say, you can tell somewhat the proof of a liquor is by shaking it. If you shake it and large bubbles rise to the top, it should be over 100 proof, if small bubbles rise it is of lower proof. I tried it and it works Oh well enough on the bourbon. Time to go, see ya in the funny papers………

I guess I did it again. Yup, that I did. I made the best damn pot of bean soup. Not the conventional 15-bean soup, or my infamous Keilbasa and bean soup. But a red kidney bean soup. Kind of like a pasta fagoli soup. But no pasta in it and no white beans. Just extra veggies. Plus a Mexican flair to it. I put in two chipotle peppers. Very yummy.
I started out the old fashioned way. I cut up three slices of bacon and cooked it down, then added three onions chopped up not too fine, I like to have all different size onions and other ingredients. Then after they were cooked down, I added about a half pound of good Italian hot sausage. Meanwhile, I had soaked my beans over night then drained them. I put them in a pot with water to cover them. Started them cooking well before I started the other stuff. After the onions and meat mixture was cooked down I drained the extra fat or grease off of them then added them to the pot of beans. They cooked down till the beans were tender and the liquid was a little thicker, I then added a can of Tomatoes cut up along with the juice from the can. Salt and pepper to taste, then added the chipotle peppers. Two small one’s diced up real fine. After it cooked some more, I added a package of frozen mixed vegatables. And that was that. After the veggies were done, I had my soup. Very good if I say so myself…. I had two and a half bowls of it. Yes I did it again. A simple soup and it just takes time. About two and a half hours start to finish. Most of the time is taken up letting the beans cook down.
We did have a pretty good time on Friday with our parking party. Pete’s barn was the place. A kind of eclectic bar, in an old barn. More of a glorified garage turned into a clubhouse. We had lots of beer and pizza and wings. Not too many people were there, but we didn’t mind. More beer for us. I got home early enough, about eleven o’clock, cause we all had to go to Kiwanis in the morning.
I had about five or six beers, that was enough, I guess I got beer’d out. Must have been too much wings and pizza. Oh well.
Well that about it, for my exciting weekend. Bye bye and buy bonds.

What’s new in the Mohawk Valley?
Well, not much… I guess we shouldn’t complain. At least the weather has been fairly good. Warm and not too much rain. A while back I thought I would have to look for a boat or a raft to get around. Buy Ma Nature has been kind to us. I think she’s going to give us hell this winter. If not, the oil companies and Nimo will be giving us fits…
Tomorrow is the last day to turn in tickets for the Kiwanis month long raffle. We start drawing winners in the morning. But tonight we are having the long awaited Parking Party, at Pete’s Barn. I hope we are able to get up and be at the Kiwanis meeting after a night of drunken debauchery. (Just kidding) It’s still going to be tuff to get there if the party is really a good one.
Us Frankfort Kiwanians like to have a good time, I mean a real good time. Yes plenty of BEER and other beverages of the alcoholic persuasion… Also wings and pizza. One of my all time favorites. I’ll have to let you know how it turned out.
Yesterday was a busy one, and boy was I Pooped out when it was all done. I walked down to Melrose to get some groceries. I had been trying to get a hold of Brad to see id he could take me to Walmart to get groceries and talk with him about other things. But I just kept missing him and playing phone tag. So when I walked down to the market, I took my backpack to carry some of the groceries home. Well I got a little more than I should have, because I had all I could do to carry the stuff home. Yes I had to stop a few times to catch my breath and rest. I’m not used to carrying about forty extra pounds in a backpack on my back as well as two bags of groceries. I even stopped and sat down on the old bank steps to rest before taking the last leg home. It was a real nice day so the walk was a pleasant as could be. Plus it was nice to sit on the steps for a short while, absorbing all the goodness from the sun’s rays.
After I got home, there was a message from Brad and I called him back and we ended up going to Walmart after all. By the time I got home and put all the groceries away, I was all pooped out. Yes it’s hell getting old. (Not that I’m that old. Just a few gray hair, but mostly in the beard and sideburns.) Plus with my breathing problems it takes more out of me. But I will say this, I was tired but I felt really good when I went to bed. But this morning, I’m a little stiff in my right hip and lower back, and my left knee is a little sore. This weather has been hell on my left knee with all the rain and weather changes. Guess I am getting old. Ha, Ha… Okay, laugh it up fuzzball’s… KYSOTI

Wow. It’s been a while since I last posted on my blog. Yes I’ve had problems that forced me to not be able to connect to the Internet. Juno in their infinite wisdom, does not give you free off-line email any more. (Those fuckers) So I haven’t been able to access email as well. I do have a free 10 hours a month of Juno service and email can only be accessed online. Which sucks, because it is so freakin slow and takes forever to load. I guess they don’t use their high-speed servers for the free stuff. I guess I don’t blame them. This morning when my 10 hours started for this month it took me over twenty minutes to read and delete my mail box. So I have to be careful to not read any junk mail or bullshit stuff that always ends up in my mailbox.
What does every one think of the recent political bullshit that’s been going on? Well I’m glad to see the fuckin Republicans losing a little skin this time. They all tried to make Clinton the bad guy, which of course he was not without blame. He did lie to the American people about his little affair and oral service with what’s her name, oh yes, Monica. Then the now President and Vice President, while campaigning, told us that they would bring the truth and honesty back to the White House. Well guess what, they were full of shit. They have been a truthful as any other person who has been or will be in the White House. They are all freakin liars. But to which degree of lying will they be caught in. Scandal, illegal operations, cover-ups. That’s what every one wants to read about, nobody like the good. It doesn’t sell. And the good is not always brought out. But when someone close to the White House fucks up, and they cover it up or do less than ethical things to shut people up, or force them to be quiet, It looks bad for the President.
Do I believe that something is wrong in Bush’s administration, yes. Is it the President himself, I don’t know. Will we ever, most likely not, but George had better get his ducks in a row, and they had better stay that way. I do know that there are certain things that a President must not tell the whole truth to the American public. If some things were to be told, there would be truly a real friggin mess to deal with, and people would on a whole want to kill or destroy something. We can’t have mass hysteria. So I do think that some things should be kept quiet about. Just like in the old days, when the butchers would make bologna or even better, the liverwurst, if any body actually saw them making it, they would get sick and never eat it again. Just horrible, yuck. But if you don’t know, how it’s made you will enjoy it.
The other day when Scooter was indicted, I was talking with someone I knew about it and something came up. It seems that with every past President and this President, who are two term Presidents, there seems to be something that happens around the end of the first or the beginning of the second year of the second term. Bush has his Scooter Libby scandal, Clinton had White Water and Monica, and Ronny Reagan had Iran Contra. What is it with Second terms? The American people can’t get a good break for anything.
What do I think of the Harriet Miers thing? Well every time you select someone who people think will be or could be the swing vote to overturn Row V. Wade; you might as well make another choice. They feminists and the Pro Choicers will just about hang any one who they think will change the law. So it was inevitable. Plus George would have had to let her turn over minute and notes of talks and meetings that they had and all that stuff, so He was between a Rock and a Hard Place. A Big rock and hard place. So being very loyal, she stepped down. The New Guy, George picked, well maybe he can be approved without too much problems. As long as he is not a Radical Ultra, Blank, Blank, Blank…
Well that’s it for today, enough with the political bullshit, It’s to nice of a day to be inside, besides I need to go to the bank and get money, pay bills and get some groceries. See you later…………………………..

I’ve been holding out writing in my blog for a few days have had some recent happenings and I have been waiting to be able to put things in to perspective, and to reflect on what has happened in the past few days.
Now don’t take this the wrong way. What has happened is not good.
But it is also not that bad. Things could be worse, but also a hell of a lot better. Well Get on with It……
I guess I should start by saying, I no longer have a vehicle to drive. No it was not repossessed. But I won’t go into details at this time. Guess I’ll have to dust of my walking shoes. Actually, I had a nice walk this morning, down to Habib’s, for garbage bags and to the post orafice and back home. Oh I also bought a lotto ticket. The reason for the lotto, my palm was itching this morning. The last time I had an itchy palm, I won the 50-50 at our Kiwanis meeting. So, why not, just might have the winner…. I’ll let you know how I did….
Had to have a friend take me to Soc. Service yesterday morning. Had a pretty good meeting with the people over there. I also meet my new case-worker. She seemed real nice. Guess I won’t have to go over and see them for a while.
Today is cleaning day, so I guess I should go and get on with it……..

And God said to Moses, “Moses my good man, would you build me an Ark”. Moses looked up to God and said, “Yea, what’s and Ark”?
Yes my friends, its seems that it has been raining and raining for forty days and forty nights. Pretty soon, I’ll go down to my old homestead and ask the neighbor if I can borrow my boat that O sold him a few years ago… With each day of rain we have, I find another leak in the roof. Yes I have buckets all along the floor in the back hallway. What a freaking mess. It’s not that bad, but if it continues to keep raining I’ll need to buy more buckets…
It’s early Saturday morning. I woke up early and could not go back to sleep. So I got up and made coffee, and did my thing in the bathroom, took my meds. And figured I’d do my post. Mm, mm,mm, coffee……………. I know I’ve spouted off about the wonders of a good cup of coffee before, so I won’t this day.
Yesterday, I read my sisters post on Dogster.com, well she has an online diary for her dog, Tucker. She starts out about Tucker not wanting to be political, but goes into a semi tirade about Tucker and his other friend joining politics and running for President and VP. It was a little comical. Its was meant to be, but I think we all need to be humored when it comes to the state of affairs of our so-called greatest politicians. I know and you know they could al do and should do better for us. I know, I know, I should support our leaders. Well I say, Bullshit!!! They need to do better or they won’t be here next election. I know I’ll have someone tell me I’m wrong not to support our President and Governor. But how can they say they are doing the best they can and we all know the shit is getting deeper and deeper. Yet they continue to think that we are blind and can be fooled once again. Well I say Fuck Em All.
Send them to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan for Six months and then extend their stay another six months. Or send them to live as we do, having to worry about how we are going to pay for heat this winter or how we’re going to keep feeding ourselves this winter……. ………….. …….. … .
Wow, that was deep. Must be I had a little bone to pick. But I must not apologize for my little rant. I must stand up and say, Mr. President, do better, Mr. Governor, you do better too.

Well yesterday was a pretty good day, other then the FUCKING RAIN…….. And today was the same, FUCKING RAIN. Now I do feel sorry for those that are flooded out and are in desperate need of no rain…. But As long as it isn’t freakin @#$%. I won’t say the four-letter word, of what is to come this winter…. (You know, frozen water), Of course I don’t mean ice, that’s three letters……. So I did stay in most of the day, and took it easy. I had to. For some reason, every time I got up, whether it was from bed, or when I was sitting down or what ever, my knees have me a Snap, Crackle and Pop…….. But for some reason, after about four hours, it stopped and my knees where fine. Must be old age. Or could be I beat them up when I was younger. Yes, I do have a football knee. And I’ve done my share of tripping and falling on my knees, so it’s no wonder I’m having a rough time with all this rain…….
A new experience, well not really, my car has got more than ¾ of a tank of gas, for the first time in two to three months. Guess it was about time. Yeah, I put eight dollars in when I went to go pick up a few things at Wally World….. I might not have made it too and from the store. Then on the way home I put another forty in the tank. Almost filled it, but its deffinatly over three quarters….
Still getting used to not having cable. I’m disappointed that I can’t get any CBS……. I miss my CSI’s and the other good CBS shows. Guess I’ll have to deal till I pay them off and get either Satellite or have them reinstalled. Oh well………. KYSOTI

rain $#@%&*$#^%%$^
Today started out like any other typical rainy nasty day…….
Till I went to the mailbox. And what do I find in my box???????
Three things from Soc. Services.. So I open the smallest one first. It’s a letter to appear for a meeting on the 18th. Next one is an application for Managed Care, for medical insurance. But the third…….well it was my approval for cash assistance and also my Medicaid. Wow…..
Well that made my day… So not to be too gushing and overly positive for the day….. Yes it’s still a rainy nasty day, but I’m smiling pretty well.
So with nothing else to write about that isn’t to ,depressing, (the weather), or to positive, my mood, I’ll just leave you with the following little gross facts…….
During an hour's swimming at a municipal pool you will ingest 1/12 liter of urine.
In an average day your hands will have come into indirect contact with 15 penises (touching door handles etc.)
An average person's yearly fast food intake will contain 12 pubic hairs.
In a year you will have swallowed 14 insects - while you slept!
Annually you will shake hands with 11 women who have recently masturbated and failed to wash their hands.
Annually you will shake hands with 6 men who have recently masturbated and failed to wash their hands.
In a lifetime 22 workmen will have examined the contents of your dirty linen basket.
At an average wedding reception you have a 1/100 chance of getting a cold sore from one of the guests.
Daily you will breath in 1 liter of other peoples' anal gases.
HAVE A GREAT DAY...
. . . . . . . . . . now go & wash your damn hands
That’s it for now….KYSOTI

Tuesday andall is well, sort of...
I guess I should have stayed home Saturday night. I ended up staying in all day Sunday and Monday. I felt like crapola… Same bug, as the past few days, but yesterday I think I was running a slight fever till the night. I do feel much better today, but still have some minor symptoms and a lot of gas……
I did a little grocery shopping, just milk, bread and minor stuff. It got me out of the place for a while. Just have to remember that if I use the car again, I’d better put some gas in it……. My check gages light came on and I was on empty.
Oh well, I’m dealing with not having cable pretty well. My only problem is I can’t get any CBS stations at this time. I miss my shows on that network. But if and when I get some more money, I’ll buy a better antenna for the TV. When I moved up to Old Forge several years ago, we only had Rabbit Ears for an antenna, and got the Syracuse stations and Utica’s channel 2. So I hope I can get Syracuse with a better antenna. Then I’ll be fine till I get back on cable or Satellite TV. It’s good I have my computer and some idiot games, they help keep me occupied. Last week I read one of my favorite books, Battlefield Earth. Yes a book by L. Ron Hubbard. Very good book.
It took me I guess, two and a half days to read all eight or nine hundred some pages. Maybe this week I’ll start reading some more of my favorites, like The Stainless Steel Rat saga’s or maybe, the Hitchhikers ‘s Guide to the Universe series. Both are a good read. Guess that’s it for know.. KYSOTI
I miss my shows on that network. it's SUNDAY!!!!
Sunday, a nice quiet day at home. Nothing to do but cook me a nice pot of beef stew……. Yeah, I’ve been under the weather the last few days. I must have eaten something or got some bug that’s going around. I have literally felt like crap since Wednesday night. I’ve had craps, felt like I was going to burst, felt nauseous and had the old Tennessee Two step as well. Still feel a little queasy in the lower regions today, but I think I’m on the road to Wellsville…
Last night we had our Kiwanis installation dinner, at Thurstons. Nice meal and nice installation. I was installed as Vice President…. (and there was much rejoicing, Yeeeaaahhhhh!!!!) No. I’m not ready to step into Dick Cheney’s shoes…… I sure wouldn’t want to be Pres. Bush’s VP. George is an ass……(please note, that is an opinion, it, is not necessarily the fact.) They also gave out perfect attendance pins as well, I got a Five year pin… We also had the outstanding citizen award, givin to Father Yhanas. He really deserves it. If anywhere there was a community spiritual leader he would be it. A true gentleman if ever there was one.
So far, I’ve sold 17 raffle tickets… That’s about the best so far.
All in all, a good night, but I went home early and even went to bed early. I even stayed in bed late today. Who’s going to say anything about it. Be nice…………
Back to my stew, it’s coming along very nicely… in about an hour or so, I’ll be chowing down on a nice plate of beef stew with some biscuits and a nice tall glass of skim milk…………… that’s it for now, I’ll see ya later………………………………..KYSOTI. or TTFN

Life Sucks!
I guess it Sucks to be Me!!!
What did I do to piss off people. I just go about my day doing what I do and not bothering anyone, minding my own biz… All that stuff. I get someone who’s pissed at me for not letting him go past me as I’m backing out in Walmart. (My not so favorite place to shop, but where else can I go and get what I need as cheap as Wallyworld.) Yes I was backing out of my space and someone came around the end and had to wait while I backed out, trying not to hit any cars or people. This asshole decides to let me know I was going too slow. Of course the universal finger was waved at me and some utterances of the not so kind nature were offered to me. I just shrugged it off.
Now that’s how my day has been going, just bullshit after bullshit.
My day started off really funky….
Yesterday, I was called by my caseworker at Soc. Services. We went over my case and she used her computer and we talked about my truck, the Explorer, and she was using the NADA program to see how much my truck was worth. When we finished, she told me the value of the truck was to high and I would be turned down for Cash assistance. What the FUCK do they want? They must be really freakin idiots. I don’t blame the caseworker, she’s been real good. But the fuckin idiots that make these freakin rules should have to live by them for a while. Okay, so that ruined my day yesterday. As for today, My case worker calls me again this morning, and tells me that if I can get two estimates that says my truck is worth less than ??? amount of money, I would still be eligible for cash assistance. So now I have to go run and get the estimates. No problem. I stop at a friend’s garage, he has a dealers license. If I bring it in tomorrow, he’ll got through it and give me a complete evaluation and hopefully it will be what I need and then I’ll go get another from someone else, if they are small enough.
Okay, so far right? Now way, me next mistake of the day was coming home then going up to the Social Security office in Utica. Got in, nobody there in the waiting room. That’s cool. I get in to tell them, I have new inf. for them, and when they look up my records. They tell me I’ve been denied my Soc. Sec. and do I want to appeal the decision. Yes of coarse. Now the decision was made on September 6th, and that no letter was issued to inform me of it. The case worker I saw, couldn’t figure out why a letter wasn’t sent. So any way, I filled out the paper work and was told they would send it out to Syracuse and they would send me a letter when I have my hearing. That could take up to nine months or more. So I guess I’m fucked… Oh well, could be worse, it could be the 17th and I don’t have any money to give the light people and they shut me off. Boy it really Sucks to be ME….
About the only good thing that has happened to me in the past few day’s is the fact that I have sold half of my tickets for the Kiwanis raffle. So I need to sell fifteen more. I sell the rest, I get my dues paid for free. That’s about the only good thing that has happened. Oh by the way, they came and shut off my cable tv. Keep smiling………!!!!!! @#%%#*((*&(…. shit......

Saturday, in the park.......
Hi folk’s, Great day to be out to play football, or to watch football.
Our Kiwanis Club did our annual Punt, Pass and Kick competition at the
High school this morning. What a great day for it. Just cool enough, not hot at all. We saw some great performances by the kids. And some great ones by our fellow Kiwanians. Next week, we have our installation dinner. I get installed as Vice president. Ooohh, ahhhhh……
Guess I’m kind of in a great mood today. What’s not to be…
Even though, I’m broke, and no place to go and all that shit….
With a day like today, I should be happy to be able to go out and do my thing, no matter how grumpy I could be…. Today is just too nice to be a grouch. So I’m not going to be one…….

Hello again
It’s been a few days since my last posting. My little weekend trip was just what I needed. Sue and I and of course, Tucker the dog had a wonderful time. The mutt and I had plenty of “male bonding”, as my sister called it.
Saturday was such a beautiful day, we spent most of it outside. We sat on the porch looking out on the lake for quite a while. Sue did some yard work while I kept Tucker busy and kept him from chasing the lawn mower.
We also took a little drive to an apple orchard and got some apples and some cider. I think the labeled the bag of apples incorrectly, they were supposed to be Cortland apples, but they looked and tasted like Macintosh. Oh well, I had some any way. When I left for home, I forgot to pack the apples in the car and left them at Sue’s. I guess Tucker will have some apples for his treats.. Sue got a new car, when we left to go to the orchard, what does she do, but back into my truck. All I could think was, ain’t that just great, we looked and just a little paint and a small dent to my truck, her car just had a nark on the rubber part of her bumper. I figured it would have been a lot of damage to the tailgate and need a lot of work, but thank god it wasn’t. I got the grand tour of the area. I guess I know a lot of places down that way, and been close to her home before when we used to take road trips to Mass. To go to that one mall we used to visit and the liquor store in Vermont just over the Mass. border. I had a good time, and I know Tucker did as well. He’s a real neat dog. Still growing, and raising hell with Sue. Some people say their dogs are a reflection of them selves, and Tucker is almost like Sue, when she was younger, she was really picky about her eating, and Tucker’s just the same, he only wants his treats. No kibble for him…… I guess he’ll have to learn to eat his kibble or he won’t get any treats…. Well that’s it for now, See ya in the funny papers.!

Cool News
Got a nice surprise last night. My best bud Art called. He’s back in town a couple of days.(His dad is having cataract surgery.) And he brought one of my long time friends with him, Green label Jack Daniels. Now I know, it’s not called bourbon, but is made from the same ingredients and made just like bourbon, except for the charcoal filtering it goes through. But its still good. I’ know, the green label is supposed to be a somewhat lesser product than the regular Black label. But I like it…… Nothing like a nice Jack Daniels Manhattan made with Green label. Luckily, I won’t be going to my sisters til Saturday morning. So, we’ll have a couple of those manhattans on Friday night. Not to many, we both have to drive back to Vermont, or to Averill Park.
Got some other good news in the mail, I got a notice from St E’s, that my hospital bills will be paid for by a charity they have. That’s cool, and I also get a discount on further medical bills I have through their network. Another big help. I also talked with someone at Soc. Services today, and while I don’t have Medicaid yet, I should be getting it in a month or two.
Okay, now for the bullshit news. Yesterday, I went to my Blog and there was a comment. So being interested in who commented and what they had to say. I opened up my comment window, and what do I see, a fucking spam comment about their website to find horny fucking lowlife asshole porn sites. Now I’m like most men, we’re freakin horny perverts, but you know if I want to look at those sites I’ll look for them, I don’t want them on my blog in comments. So if you are the one who sent it to me, shame on you, you fucking Asshole.!!!! Get a real life, and leave us closet perverts alone…..
I guess I got to go, maybe I’ll have a beer when I go deliver the package I signed for, at the Legion. SO keep your stick on the ice…….

It seems today is another day of rain. And I found another leak in the roof. Oh boy, just what I frigging need. Oh, by the way, my day started out well. I almost dropped my CPAP machine on the floor again. I heard something that must have woke me up, the door was banging against the stops when the wind would blow in the front windows. A kind of wind tunnel effect. Just annoying enough to wake me up at 5:00 in the morning. Now I have a small leak. At least it’s in the back hallway.
I did get some good news, sort of. I got a notice from the employment division of Soc. Services today. I guess they said that my Dr. sent them the paperwork and I don’t have to continue with them, at this time. Might be a good thing.
I need a road trip. I have my little trip to my sisters this weekend. Maybe I’ll just go a day earlier. I could stay there with Tucker. Keep him amused for a day, and my Sue won’t have to pay anyone to take care of him for one day. But, I haven’t talked with her yet. Most likely, I’ll go down either Friday night, or Saturday morning. If I get the raffle tickets for Kiwanis, I’ll have to wait till Saturday, unless someone else can get them to everyone. Won’t know till Wed. When I get the tickets, I’m going to hit up all my friends for $5.00 for a ticket. It goes to help the kids in our little community.

Alive and well In Central New York
I’m still alive and going to live. At least that’s what the Dr. said. I had my bi-monthly checkup with Dr. Sperling this morning. He was pleased with me, gave me the usual stuff, lose weight, and watch what you eat. B/P was good, everything else was good, even my nurse said I looked good and my B/P was good. My condolences to my nurse Pat, her dad passed last week, so I’ll say prayer for her and Sam, like I have since last Monday when I found out. She’s a good egg, so isn’t my Dr. and his wife, Dr. Vechio and the rest of the staff at his office. It’s always good to see everyone down there.
Now to more important items that need mentioning.
1) I hope to have the Kiwanis raffle tickets in my hands on Wed.
2) I’m going to visit my sister if everything works out, this weekend.
3) I’m still waiting for Medicaid and other Social Services, thank god I was given food stamps,
4) I still need to here from Social Security, about disability
5) And finally some good news, “I just saved money on my car insurance by switching to…..” (I just had to say that)!!!!!
I have a cute joke and I’d like to put it in my blog, I can’t remember how I got it or who sent it to me, so here it is for your enjoyment.
Michael the Dragon Master was an official in King Arthur's
court. He had a long-standing obsession to nuzzle the beautiful
Queen's voluptuous breasts. But he knew the penalty
for this would be death.
One day he revealed his secret desire to his colleague,
Horatio, who was the King's chief physician. Horatio said,
"I can arrange it, but I will need 1,000 gold coins to pay
bribes." Michael the Dragon Master readily agreed.
The next day Horatio made up a batch of itching powder and
poured a little of it into the Queen's brassiere while she
was taking a bath. Soon after she dressed, the itching
commenced and grew in intensity. Upon being called to the
royal chambers, Horatio told the King that only a special
saliva, if applied for four hours, would cure this type of
itch, and that tests had shown such a saliva was only to be
found in Michael the Dragon Master's mouth.
King Arthur summoned Michael the Dragon Master. Michael the
Dragon Master slipped the antidote lotion into his mouth and
for the next four hours worked passionately on the Queen's
magnificent breasts.
Satisfied, he returned to his chamber and found Horatio
demanding payment. However, with his obsession now satisfied,
he refused to pay Horatio anything and shooed him away,
knowing that Horatio could never report this matter to the
King.
The next day, Horatio slipped a massive dose of the same
itching powder onto King Arthur's loincloth. King Arthur
summoned Michael the Dragon Master...
The moral of the story? Pay your bills.
Now wasn’t that special????

I just finished with lunch and I was waxing nostalgically about my youth. I had earlier gone to the Post Orifice, (notice the spelling), and then took a small ride up the hill to Russell’s Vegetables and got more fresh tomatoes (11) and fresh broccoli (a big head) and fresh green beans and a huge, I mean freakin huge head of cabbage (about 4-6 pounds. All for seven bucks.
I washed everything, cut up the beans and started cooking the beans. Then I cut up the cabbage, taking one quarter of it and making a big bowl of Cole slaw. Then took out the big pot and put what was left of the cabbage in the pot and filled with water to cook. When the beans were cooked, I took some and put just some butter, salt and pepper on them and chowed down. I had enough for two or three more meals, so I put them in a container for later. After the cabbage was done, I had some and put the rest in containers for several other meals. Now I know it’s not that great of a lunch, but when they are as fresh as just picked, and cleaned and cooked up quickly, they taste just incredible.
Now back to my waxing nostalgically. When I was a kid, mom and I would have just cucumbers for lunch. Right out of the garden, They would be really weird shaped and funny looking, but they tasted really good. We’d just peal then and salt them and munch down. Two to three cucumbers a piece. We’d go out pick our daily veggies and then throw out the bad or yucky lookin stuff. It was always a surprise to see how big the zucchini were. The day before they would be just a blossom, the next they would be a foot long. Ma always had this way of fixing green beans. She’d cook up the beans and then in a frying pan, she would cook some bacon. Then take out the bacon and leave the rendered bacon fat in the pan. She’d next put in some flour and make rue. Then put in the green beans and ad a little milk, just to loosen up the rue. Let it cook a little while then and salt and pepper. Sometimes she’d crumble up the bacon in it, if it were still there. That is if mom or I could keep from eating it. There is something about bacon. It never lasted in one place to lung in our house. Then it was time to eat, yum, yum. I didn’t have any bacon, so I couldn’t have any. I’ll just have to make sure I get some this
Weekend when I go shopping. I miss the garden. It was a lot of work when I was younger, but I think I would love to have one know. Even if just for the fresh tomatoes. I love tomatoes. Dad and I would get out the spade and pitch forks and dig up the garden and fertilized it, then plant it. Weed it, take care of it. But once it got to be producing it’s goodies, everyone at home would be out there when it was time to pick and eat the fruits of our labors. And it was Good…….. I miss it…. Just had to post about it.

The little shit did it again. Rang the doorbell at 7:35 this morning. Of course I was up, and of course I was in the bathroom. He wanted to know about this afternoon, if his mom wasn’t home, if he could come up and stay till she gets home. Yea, know problem…la..di..da…
He interrupted my reading of one of my old favorite books from the past. I believe one of my friends gave it to me. “The I Love To Fart Cookbook.” It is one of culinary’s great masterpiece’s. There are some real great recipe’s inside of it’s covers. But watch out, you could alienate a lot of friends with its after effects. The recipe’s are supposed to help aid in digestion and production of shall I say some extra intestinal gas. But it is a humorous book to say the least. With Titles of recipe’s such as “Swamp Gas Soup, and Cannon Fodder Stew.” You get the picture. Believe you me, if I was to really try any of those recipe’s, the Military would think Al Queda had dropped a “dirty bomb” in The Mohawk Valley. They would have to declare this a disaster area. And that’s all I have to say about that.
Oh, by the way, I’m still waiting, and waiting and…….

I’ve been waiting and waiting and…
I’ve been waiting and waiting and…
Some times it doesn’t pay to just sit around and wait. Some times you just have to say, “What the FUCK”. Now I know I’m in a different situation, and I have lots of time on my hands. But, when you call and ask for a simple answer about things, you figure if someone were busy, after they are done with what they were doing, they would at least call and leave a message or something if you weren’t at home. So now you don’t leave and you stick at home, not that I have any place to go and you wait, and you wait and you….
I know, I’m ranting on and on, but people are counting on me for answers too. It’s like; I’ve been trying for the past two days to contact my caseworker at the Social Security office. I dial the number and it’s busy, from morning till night. Looks like I need to take a trip to Utica …Just like a small trip to Herkimer also. Just to get some answers. Fuck It!!!
Other than that, I’ve been laying low, with no particular place to go. Television sucks, but what else is new. So meanwhile, I just sit and wait, and wait…

A lazy day
It’s a nice lazy Sunday. That’s what today is. I’m cooking a pot of chicken. Chicken? Will it be chicken and biscuits? Or will it be chicken soup. Or something else I might conjure up. I don’t know. I’m leaning towards soup. But I absolutely love chicken and biscuits. When I went shopping this morning I forgot to get celery so I’m not sure about the soup. I know chicken and biscuits would come out okay without the celery. I can always add a can of cream of celery soup; I have in the cupboard. Guess that’s the best option. But I guess I’ll have to wait and see.
Waiting over. I just went to get my last cup of coffee for the day. I tasted the pot of chicken and I think it’s seasoned more for soup than making gravy for the biscuits, so soup it is.
Um, um, good coffee. Yes, a fresh pot this morning, from a freshly opened foil-pack of coffee. Now I know, store brand coffee isn’t always the best, but I have to say this batch is pretty damn good. I know I should tell you what brand it is, but for the price, it was a very exceptional value. Oh by the way, it’s also decaf. I know, everyone says decaf sucks. But if you need to stop drinking anything with caffeine, once you get of the caffeine withdrawal, you’ll never miss it. Plus you just might sleep better. Would you like to know what brand it is, Its Walmart’s brand. You wouldn’t think, but it is good. I would rather drink Green Mountain Coffee brand. But it is a little pricey right now. When you don’t have much to spend on food and beverages, you buy what you can. I drink a pot a day, so, figure about ten, maybe eleven pots out of a pound. You do the math. I guess it’s all in how you store it after opening.
When I cleaned out my office down at the store, I found an extra cigar jar type humidor. It seals up air tight and keeps cigars extremely fresh, sometimes to fresh, if you forget and don’t open them up a few times a week. They sometimes get to high of humidity in the jar, if you have a humidifying device in the jar with you cigars. Being so air tight, they over humidify the cigars and they don’t stay lit well and just smoke shitty. But with using it for my coffee, it keeps the coffee as fresh as if it was just ground. Oh I still have a cigar jar for cigars. Not that I have any cigars, but just in case I feel like buying a few good cigars. I had a cigar when we were parking cars at the fair. My first one in maybe two years. It was nice, but I like to breath, so my cigar smoking is kind of taking a back burner right now. Guess that’s the best with all my breathing problems. But sometimes you just have to say, “What the Fuck.”
So that’s it for now, Keep Your Stick on The Ice….

Just a quick post for today.
The little shit next door rang my bell again. I’m going to smack that kid if he rings the doorbell again, before I’m up and around in the morning. I can’t have any real peace and quiet while I’m in deep thought, on the can.
My walk was nice yesterday. Didn’t get rained on either. Might try it again today. Maybe I’ll take a trip to the store to get some fruit and a few groceries. Who knows? Nothing else to do today, except maybe watch the grass grow…
Time for my second cup of coffee….. See ya!!!

Rough Morning
I’m having a tough time waking up. I’ve been up since the little kid next door rang my freakin doorbell at 7:45 this morning. I was half-awake, half-dreaming. It was I nice dream to. A nice young woman and me……Then the fucking doorbell. Ring, Ring, and Ring. I knew who it was before I got out of bed to answer. I could hear him muttering to himself, “where is he, he can’t be sleeping.” I finally stuck my head out the window and yelled at him…. He just wanted to know if he could come over after school,if his mom was late getting home. He used to come I the store last spring when she was late. He’s a nice kid, but can’t keep his attention on one thing to long.
I feel like I’m still sleeping and it’s only a dream. Foggy. I guess that’s what you’d call it. Yes that’s a good term for the way I feel.
I’ve been kind of lying low this week. No place to go and no money to get there. So, I just hang around the house and goof off. I play video games on my computer, read and watch the tele….and so on …..
I ‘m not really bored yet, but soon. I hope I hear from Social Security soon, one way or the other. Hearing from Social Services would be okay as well. But I’ll just wait and wait……
Mmmm, coffee. You know, coffee is one of the true pleasures that you can have in the morning. Most people don’t take the time to savor every bit, excuse me, last drop. I don’t know, but this mug is exceptional this morning. Must be from the thorough cleaning of the pot as well as my favorite mug. Most likely the mug. It’s another nice morning out, and I feel pretty good, I can breath pretty decently, almost feel like taking a walk this morning. I think I will, after another cup of coffee. You see, the coffee is doing it's trick. Mmm,mmm good coffee……………..

Another summer gone. But lots of nice weather still available for us before winter. I avoided my NiMo being shut off, just barely. Luckily I came in second on the Nascar pool for Sundays race. I had enough to pay it today. So now I am truly broke. Till I get the rest of the money from what’s his name for the bottle of Johnny Blue I’m selling him. Or I get my Soc.Sec. Or get some kind of public assistance.
I had a good weekend. Art and Lynn came to visit on Sunday night. I guess the ride really get to them when they drive down. Before we used to get together when he got in, but now it takes him a day to recover from the trip. I guess we are all getting a bit older. Hopefully wiser as well.
We drank a good portion of a twelve pack of Molson’s Golden. I haven’t had any of that stuff in a long time. It was pretty good. Just as good as I remember. I stopped drinking Golden because it gave me a headache in the morning. Something about it back then effected me that way. Whether I had one or twenty-one. Ah, the old days, when you could drink all night, get up in the morning and do your thing then drink all night and do all over the next, and so on, and so on… What ever happened to us? Oh well, I guess it’s for the better. Can’t do hangovers anymore………..

A friend of mine sent this, thought I’d put this in my post today. It was written by some senator, not sure whom, but I had to change some of the punctuation and grammar. My spell checker was sending me some nasty little suggestions. I swear, sometimes this machine has a mind of it’s own…
So here’s to your amusement.
"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help
everyone get along. Restore some semblance of justice. Avoid more riots.Keep our nation safe. Promote positive behavior. And secure the blessings of debt free liberty to ourselves and our
great-great-great-grandchildren. Hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetter’s.
We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."
ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen! TV, or any other form of wealth. More e power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.
ARTICLE II! I: You d o not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing.
Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.
ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.
ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rapes, intentionally maims, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.
ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to “PURSUE” happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from! NOW!
(lastly....)
ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase “IN GOD WE TRUST” is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it,
TOUGH SHIT!
If you agree, share this with a friend.
No, you don't have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don't. I just think it's about time common sense is allowed to flourish. Sensible people of the United States, speak out because if you do not, who will?

Beautiful Day.
Yes it’s a beautiful day in Central New York. To bad our summer is coming to an end. Yes my friends it Labor Day weekend. The so-called last hurrah for summer. If you haven’t done it by now, you had best wait till next year. I’m taking a break from my housework. I’m cleaning today. Got the living room and dinning room all straightened out. Just listening to a lot of different CD’s. Right now a little Jimmy Buffet. Thought I’d take this time to post a note. My buddy Art and his wife are coming to town for the weekend. Guess it will be Manhattans at Miller’s this weekend. Maybe just a couple of beers. But that’s most likely the extent of my weekend. No money and no place to go. Could be worse I guess, we could be down in New Orleans or Biloxi. You know, most people don’t know what it’s like to have no place to go for shelter, food or water. I had a little experience with out drinkable water for a while, but not like these people down south. I wouldn’t wish it on any body. On that note, I just want to wish everyone a Happy Labor Day and I'd like you to think about the ones who need help this weekend, while you are out having fun and enjoying this holiday.

A morning walk.
Went for a walk this morning. Left around 8:35 am. Went north down Litchfield St. to the end, them turned right down to village offices. Went down Orchard St. to Frankfort St. then up to Canal St. then back down to Litchfield St. and my place. I got back around 9:05, was gone a half-hour. Had to stop a few times to rest and catch my breath. I would most likely do better if I had an oxygen tank. I waited for the mail to be delivered. Nothing good in the mail today.
Yesterday was my day for interviews at Soc. Services. What else can they want? I guess they need to know every little detail of your life. I can understand. But after being denied Medicaid so many times and all that crap with that end, they should know my finances and assets. They should share information. I guess they finally did. So I was given a food stamp card. I’ll get the one with my picture on it in the mail in a few days. I went over to Walmart to buy some groceries. Yes I went to Walmart, I should not complain any more, but…………..3@#$%$%#^$&…
It was painless, everything worked fine and I bought meats and veggies and stuff. I had to get T.P. and dish soap. So I had to pay for that. No Problemo.
I went early enough, where I didn’t have to fight with a crowd of people. But I still had to stop and wait for people to get out of my way and let me pass. Still had people get in my way and make me slam on the breaks and generally make me glad to get out of there before I beat the Fuck out of some idiot…..(Just kidding.)…… #^*^%$^&^#^^^%%@&)*& holes….
I left at the right time there was a bunch of lollygagging slowpoke assholes coming in when was leaving, stopping and taking up all the room at the entranceway, not giving a damn or realizing they were blocking a hand full of people who already had gotten there stuff and wanted to get the fuck out…!!!!!!
Wheew!! I got out of there as fast as I could. Stopped at Curly’s to get some tomatoes. They had fresh picked broccoli as well so I spent my last three bucks on tomatoes and broccoli. Guess what I’m having for supper tonight??? Chicken and broccoli and a fresh garden salad !!!! Yum, Yum…
I called the Legal Aid Society, they are not accepting any Bankruptcy cases at this time In November they will start accepting them again. I just can’t come up with the money to file. Oh well guess I’m fucked…….

Rain Wed.
Well I’m pleasantly suprised. My trip to Social Services was not as bad as it was last week. Everyone was very pleasant. I guess they looked at my records from the Medicaid dept. and found I wasn’t trying to get something for nothing. But it’s still not a done deal. It will still take a while to decide if I qualify. I was straightforward with them and the people I dealt with were fine with it. They took my picture for my Benefits card. Was fingerprint scanned. Signed a few forms and documents. I might even have Food Stamps available tonight after 6:00. But I’m not in a hurry, I have the foods from The Food Pantry.
I got the dreaded Juror Questionnaire in the mail today. I can go online and take care of it or Phone it in. I’ve got away without having to serve for this long, it just might be my time. Oh well!!
I guess we are going to get lots of ran today and tonight with more on Thursday and into Friday. Just our luck. I’m glad I don’t live in New Orleans or any of those flooded and distroyed cities. They might have the good weather 99 % of the time, but look at what’s happened. Most people will have lost everything and never get it back. I guess it’s a chance you take, but I thank god I’m not there. With the luck I’ve been having, I’d be found floating in the river face down and a dog or cat using my dead my body as a life raft. Most likely a family of rats… Just kidding. Oh well I’ll say a prayer for everybody who’s affected in the disaster.
I got an extremely rude surprise at the gas pump this morning. Those fucking asshole have to raise prices that fast. That’s a crock of shit. But I guess its going to be around for a long while in the aftermath of the storm. Well enough ranting, Don’t want to get to depressed. See ya in the funny papers………….

But I guess its going to be around for a long while in the aftermath of the storm. Well enough ranting, Don’t want to get to depressed. See ya in the funny papers………….

Gloomy
While sitting here drinking my second cup of coffee, I was contemplating the immortal words of Socrates “I drank what?” Yes it’s a gloomy rainy day.
I’m guess we will eventually get what’s left of Katrina in the next couple of days. Not really looking forward to it.
I actually feel pretty good. My breathing sucks, it’s so humid. But I went for a walk this morning, anyway. Down to Rite Aid to get some info. Then to the Village Light Dept., to talk with Melissa. Then back home. A little short of breath, but not too bad. Of coarse I didn’t walk to fast. And had breaks to stop and talk with the people on the street. I think I’ll start to take more walks in the mornings. I would do me a world of good.
While on my walk, I stopped and talked with a friend of mine, he told me it only took him three months to get his Social Security Disability. So, I hope they come through pretty quick. I have an interview with someone in Herkimer for Soc. Services. I don’t know if it’s going to be a big waste of time, but I’ll go over and jump through hoops if I have to. I can understand why they make people do this, but can’t they get together and make things easier Oh well!
Guess I’m done, stick a fork in me. Time to goof of….
Keep yer stick on da Ice…..

Hey, I’m BACK!!!!
Just when you thought it was safe to go on the internet and not see or hear from me.!!! I got a second chance at this crap. But you can always switch channels. I’ve had a good and bad two weeks since my last posting.
Kiwanis parking went very well, We set a record for money collected in this century. But this past week has been extremely terrible. I fucking broke. No food in the house, well actually very little. I went to Soccial Services to apply for Pubic Assistance and Food Stamps and they told me I don’t quallify. I have to much assets. A home, a car…. So I’ve been all fucvked up this week end. No sleep, just worrying about paying bills etc……
I had a new experience today. I went to the Food Pantry and they gave me some food. They were very nice and pleasant and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and it was a good experience. So niow I can eat for a while. Just wanted to put up a post today, so Here it is and I’ll be writing a lot more in my blog………
Keep your Sick on the ice.

WOW! What a night.!
I don’t know about you, but I’m POOPED this morning. I helped park cars at the Fair last night. That was the most incredible night that the fair has had in a long time. Of course it was demo derby night. And that always brings them in. Plus it was a beautiful night as well. The main lot was full. Our lot was full. You couldn’t squeeze anybody else in anywhere. We parked over 500 cars in our lot. We were non-stop from about 5:30 until almost 8:30. The derby started at 8:00. Traffic was backed up both ways on Rt.S. They even closed off southbound traffic on Cemetery St. to let people in to the fair and the village. It was freaking crazy!!! We even had a police officer come up from the corner to help direct traffic into our lot when the fair’s lot was full. I feel sorry for the Fire Dept. They were directing traffic in the fair’s lot. They definitely worked their nutts off. I’ll bet it was a zoo get people out of the fair last night. I didn’t stay, getting home after 10:00.
I’m moving a little slow this morning. I’ll be parking cars again tonight. So I’m going to take my time and relax most of the day.
I got to go pay some bills this morning, then it’s the recliner and a few DVD’s for me.

A nice ride
A nice trip this morning up to Old Forge. Not there is a New Forge. Actually we went through Old Forge and all the way to Fourth Lake at the North Woods Inn for a breakfast meeting with the Central Adirondack Kiwanis. Our club goes all over the district to meetings of other clubs to get our Round Robin patch for one of our Banners. We seem to be the only club that goes and does this. It’s nice to go visit and see what other clubs are doing. We left from my place, about 6:00am, went to Joe’s house and rode up from there. I got back home about 10:15.
Just hanging out and waiting to go park cars again tonight. Demo Derby tonight so it will be busy. We hope. We've done very well so far this year. Weather wise. Just don’t need the rain right now. Got a good crew working tonight so it should be fun.

I'm Back
I’m back. And I’m glad to be back. Almost didn’t make it there or back. The roads were being repaired. 690 was one lane for about 3 miles ending right before my exit on to Townsend St. On the way home my truck ran extremely hot. It almost overheated twice on the way home. I could understand it in Syracuse, bumper to bumper traffic. I think or hope it’s just either down some fluid or just need a new cap or thermostat. Those are simple fixes. I don't have any money to fix anything else.
Well now for the Dr. part. This was the most enlightening experience. I was poked prodded. Bent moved squeezed and asked a million questions. But I have a good idea about whether or not I should be eligible for Soc. Sec. Disability. I hope I’m not wrong. Most times I’ve been to the DR’s, I get the normal perfunctory exam, but this was much, much more. I also had to do a Pulmonary Function Test., Which should give them a good idea, if I have problems or not. So now I just wait. Wait and wait and wait. Just like waiting for my insurance company to send me the requested form. Wait and Wait….
Any way I got there just about ten minutes before I was scheduled for the apointment. Then like any other DR's office, i waited and waited. About 12:15 I got called in and the whole process took untill about 2:00. I got home about 3:45, so not to bad coming home on Rt.5. Saved about $5.00 in tolls, going out and back on Rt.5.
It'll be enough to by bread, milk and garbage bag. Tonight;s garbage night here, so I don't want stinky garbage in my apartment. That's what it will be if I wait a week to out it out.No thanks, don't need that, or the flies that come with it....
Well that's enough, got to get ready to park cars again......

Fair Time.
It’s time for the illustrious Herkimer County Fair……
Big deal. But the good thing is if you decide to go to the fair, you can come up and I’ll help park your car. That’s right, almost Valet parking. Yes the Frankfort Kiwanis is parking cars again. We park cars across the road from the main lot, in the industrial park land. $2.00 gets you a prime place to park with easy entry and exit. I’ll be there most evenings and all day on the weekends, with a small exception on Saturday, I have to go to the party at Renee’s house….. Can’t miss that!
But you’ll be able to see us from a long distance, we’ll be wearing the Fluorescent Lime Green shirts…
They almost glow in the dark. This is our big fund-raiser for the kids in our community. We donate to a lot of events and programs for the youth in Frankfort and the Mohawk Valley. Also we send two kids to Camp Kiwanis every year. It’s a great camp for kids, I should know, I worked there for a summer many moons ago, when I was 18 years old. Kids from all over the state come to central New York, just outside of Rome.
We should also have our fall raffle tickets by the end of the week. So stop by, we’d love to see you and park your car.
I’ll be tied up with that, most of the week. But I still got to go to Syracuse for my Soc. Sec. certification. So wish me luck…..

I can't sleep.
A note to my sister Sue…….
I am intoxicated, and not sleepy enough to go to bed.
So, don’t get the wrong idea. I don’t actually have the answers to life’s questions, but I do know this.
It is better to have a bottle in front of me, than have a frontal, lobotomy.
I know you are the smart one, the most educated of the group of our end of town. But I some times think back to when we were kids in the 60’s. We really had it made. A pool at the end of the street. A play ground at the end of the street. Neighbors who would take you in, if Mom was not at home when you got out of school or when you couldn’t find her when you got home.
What ever happened to us?????
Did we grow that far from that place…..
I was talking with Big Daddy. You might remember him as David Petengal. (spelling) . He tells me that they don’t have a wading pool in Ilion, period. No East Street, No West Clark Street, No wading pool anywhere in Ilion…. Only the so-called Big Pool. That really sucks. I think back to all the stuff we had at that time to do. What are this generations kid’s going to do?
We really had it made.
But why am I talking about this??????
I have know Idea………
But it seems a waste of resources. The village has to many asshole’s running things now. They only care how good they look, not what they do…. I am glad I don’t live in Ilion any more, I hate to say.
But I still think of Garbage Heights. That was the greatest place to grow up. We had pear trees and a cherry tree in Ms. Geloso’s yard, wild Strawberry’s in the field behind the house, Black berry’s (black cat’s) as big as your thumb’s on the railroad tracks to pick, and any thing else we could pick or steal from everybody’s garden or yard. We knew everybody on our street, and what we could get from them, or what we could get away with….
I’m almost wishing I didn’t know what I know, now, I just can’t think that there is a place for any one to grow up like we did.
I almost feel Special….
Oops, I said the magic word. I really don’t think today’s kids can grow up in a place like we did.
But I hope someone try’s.
Like I said earlier, I have been having a good time tonight, and have had my fill of the alcoholic beverages and felt philosophically challenged to attempt this written communication. So I’ll end this at this point, and hope you don’t think less or more of me, because of my statements, that is.

I want to lay around the shanty, and put a good buzzzz on.....
YES … We are talking about a drunken stupor…..
YES, I’m in that phase of intoxication. So I’ll make this short……………….
Don’t let a good buzzzzzzzzz let you down or let you not be all you CAN BE……….
Because there is more to life than the hangover that usually follows the drunken stupor.
You must try to remember the finer points of the drunken stupor. We have to remember that it takes two to get drunk . You and the bartender, or mixmaster at the partaaaa…………
Don’t forget the host or hostess
Or in some occasions the hotestst……..
So make sure you enjoy yourself, no matter what comes…, or happens………
Be cool or as my bud Brad would say, Be kewl……………
As For Sue, don’t worry about me, I’m kewl,(cool) about my trip to Syracuse on Wed. …….. Got a check in the mail on Saturday…………………………………………………..

Tomorrow....
Tommorrow is the Pork Loin Roast for the Son’s of the Legion at Post 845. If any one is interested, please stop by. It’s only $10.00. I’ll be busy all day. I got the Bloody Mary fixn’s for the morning to get us going. By the way, the roast is from 1 to 5 p.m. I hope we have a good turn out.
You know the person I waited all day for never came. So I did happen to get what I wanted, from somebody else, though. I guess I’m going to give him some shit when I see him next. Asshole!!!!
Now I guess it’s my time to be nice and not spout off about the trails and tribulations going on in this state of ours, But!!!! $2.53 for a gallon of gas. Then the next station $2.65 for a gallon. That’s FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!!! I used to work in the petroleum-marketing field, and that’s really un called for. There is know fucking way that we should be paying $2.50 a gallon for gas.Period. It does not cost that much to make a gallon of freaking gas. Now I can understand that if you lived in a state that wasn’t close to a refinery or port terminal, you would have to pay a little higher price, but whom are these oil companies trying to fool. Hey, all the gas in this state comes out of fucking New Jersey. It’s comes up a pipeline. In Utica, it’s the eastern end of The Buckeye Pipeline. It doesn’t have to be trucked in. Like Ohio or Kentucky or even freaking Nebraska. They also have pipeline to send the refined gas and fuels. But the distance is nit as great. So WHY?????? I know the taxes in this state are the worst with exception of California. But why???
Because every one will just complain and pay the fucking prices. In this Fucking state. This freakin govoner won’t do a god damn thing, as well as out so called great president. Hey George, where did all the money go in Texas, you know, where you and your brother and friends got away with a the money in the savings and loan scandals????????????? Just tell me where. Also, can I have some if you have some left floating around….. Okay, okay, I shouldn’t talk about our president like that, but I did. So what ya gona do???? Sue me? You get what everybody else will get out of me, NOTHING…. I don’t have anything. SO………. I guess I spouted of enough, I’ll let it go at that.
To my friend Don, I think your Tsunami Detector is great. Can I have one down in the Valley? With you being on the mountain top, it might react a little different down hear where the air is thicker…..
I’d be getting awfully light headed up there………!!!
Well enough shenanigans for today, see’s ya in the funny papers…….

Waiting, waiting, and more waiting
Have you every had to wait around for some one or something to come. Like an important letter or some one to give you something. Well, I've been waiting since this morning for someone to show up and I'm waiting for a check from Oppemheimer Funds. Not that it's a big check, but I could use it right about now. Must be they don't give a shit or they're just being indignant. So I'm just waiting and waiting.....

Another Great Day
What do you think of this day? Hasn’t it been one of the nicest days of the year? Well I think so. It got hot, very hot. Yes it was very muggy this morning. But I expected nothing less. I got out and did my running around early enough and have been home the rest of the day in air conditioned comfort. I will admit it is getting warm up in the apartment, but I am coping with it very well. The fans are blowing the air around, and the a/c is on high.
So I hope every body else is coping with this heat.
Okay, who is this guy being nicey nice? I guess I think I’ve said enough for the year about how hot it’s been. So, I decided not to let it bother me. At least not today anyway.
Now onto the rest… Yankee’s need help. Gary Bettman, the asshole commissioner has reinstated Bertuzzi. Bad idea. I’ve always’s thought Bettman was an asshole, now we all know. Terrell Owen’s gets booted out of camp. He’s another asshole who needs to be taught a goddamn lesson. Fire him, and make him sit out a year or two and make sure he doesn’t get paid half as much as he did. Force him to take less or not play. I won’t talk about Rafael Palmeiro. He’s another one who needs a wakeup call. They did the right thing firing that radio host who made that statement about Caribbean players. Every one is talking about Tiger at the PGA. Today has been a great day to talk about sports. So I talked about sports.
I had a good night sleep last night. The only exception was waking up and having to pee. Slept like a log. Yes they could have dug a bullet out of my ass, with a Carvell Spoon. But if I have to pee, watch out. But I went back to sleep easy enough. Yes it was nice and cool in my air-conditioned bedroom. If I didn’t have a/c, it would be complaining about not sleeping and being pissy all day.
I still remember how hot and sticky and awful it used to be when I didn’t have a/c. I really don’t think I could cope without one at night. I might be able to deal with out it during the day, but nighttime, no way. So, call me spoiled, if you must. I just can’t breathe like I used to.
Hey RenĂ©, I’ll definitely try to make it to the swarey on the 29th. Might not have a Hawaiian shirt, but I’ll have my Panama Hat on.
Guess I’ve said enough, so Ta Ta for now………………
So I hope every body else is coping with this heat.

A beautiful day missed,almost...
You know, as we grow older and supposedly wiser, we some times forget to stop and smell the proverbial roses. Well today was almost one of them. Being in a semi depressed mood and a little pissed about my current state of affairs, as in the movies, (my contemplation of “Harry Carry”{?} spelling?), I almost missed out on a beautiful morning. I didn’t sleep well this morning, waking up at three and having to pee; I couldn’t get back to sleep till almost 5:00 am. I got up, took my meds and my inhalers. I decided as I headed to the shower, I’m not in the mood to stay home and be a total waste today. With that in mind, I got my ass out of the house at about twenty five after nine, just after the mail had come. I went to the bank in Ilion and had to wait to talk with Tim. I sat and waited for almost an hour. Not that it bothered me waiting that is; I had a nice quiet time away from everything that would make me feel shitty. I had a sort of a daydream waiting to talk with Tim. I figured I can stay down in the dumps, down on everything or what ever, or I could just stand up, raise my arms up in protest and say “I’m really sick and tired of all the fucking bullshit, and I’m not going to take it anymore”,,,,,, Or just stand up and raise my arms up and shout, “What the Fuck?”??????
So in spirit I stood up and said to myself, “self, you don’t want to feel like this anymore, so fuck it, let’em think your down, but in your heart your standing back giving them all a BIG RASBERRY”.
After that little epiphany, I got up and talked with Tim, took care of my business and left. Had a nice drive back home with a smile on my face. Had a good lunch, actually a brunch. Then proceeded to have a great afternoon. Also had a fantastic dinner, chicken and pasta with a tomato and basil sauce. I also opened up my last bottle of wine for dinner. A bottle of Trinchero Mario’s Reserve Cabernet, 1999. A nice bottle of wine if I do say so myself. And I do say so… [Please forgive me if I sound a little to philosophical, it’s most likely the bottle of wine.] But today has been a better day than I thought I would have had, if I and not gotten out of the house. But as I slowly fade away into mild to moderate Buzz, let me wish every one a good day or night, which ever pertains to you or your situation.
But before I go, let me talk about something I’ve been meaning to talk about for a few weeks. While typing out this post, I’ve been listening to the Derek and the Dominoes CD. You know, Eric Clapton and Duane Allman and others. What a great, I mean fuckin great album. I never really appreciated the music till now. I always liked the Allmans and some of Clapton. But every time I listen to this CD, I get all nostalgic, and wonder why it took me so long to really start to enjoy this music. The only album they made, much like the other album Clapton band in the sixties, Blind Faith, Blind Faith only had one album as well. Completely different music. But just as good. But I like Derek and the Dominoes better. I’ve always had something for the blues, but I kind of get Claptons music of the late sixties and early seventies a little better nowadays.
Well the bottle of wine is gone and I’m wondering if I should stop or continue with my little buzz. Guess I’ll take the later. I have a little bit of bourbon to drink. A nice old bottle of Jefferson’s Reserve. A tasty little bourbon, a little bit to the dry side of bourbon, but a nice almost sweet finish. Maybe one or two if them to make the day complete. I guess it’s the subtle little tones in bourbon that makes me such a fan, just like in wine, if you take the time and actually taste the whiskey or wine the better the enjoyment.
So I guess my message of the day is to take time to stop and smell the roses or to taste the wine or whiskey. Enjoy yourself.
Keep your stick on the ice.
{Notice I spelled whiskey with the (E) on it, not like thise crazy Scottsman, with their Scotch Whisky, Look on every bottle of scotch, it’s spelled whisky.}

Monday ................
Well it's Monday again. F'n hot and muggy, again. Weekend was okay, nothing special. Made a big pot of 15 bean soup. Yummy! Had lots of stuff nin it. Beans, of course. Hot Itlian Sausage, ground Turkey, onions, celery, carrots, crushed tomatoes, zuccini and summer squash. Plus salt, not to much, need to wach the sodium because of blood pressure. Lots of black peepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, rosemary and some of Emerils Essence. Took 3 hours to make and simmer, but well worth the wait.Yum Yum Yum...
Only problem is, you might want to stand upwind of me... LOL...
Well I called the folks at Soc.Serv's about my Meicaid. well I got to practicly do all this crap over again. You know, it pisses me off that thet keep fuckin around with you just to make you give up.
Like it's their fuckin money they're givin out. Enough on that crap, it makes me get real pissy thinking about it. If I was 18 years old and not able to work and on my own. All I'd have to do is go over and tell them I'm depressed and they would bend over backwardsmto help me. Oh fucking well.
Enough, enough, time to go, so keep your stick on the ice.

So much for the trip to my sister’s
So much for the trip to my sister’s this weekend. She’s got things to do and just got back from traveling with work. So feeling sorry for her I said, “Okay I’ll come down some other time”. Oh well! Guess it’s for the better. It will most likely be HOT all weekend. It’s got to be tough for her with all her friends coming to visit just about every weekend. She doesn’t get much done around the yard and out by the water. Have I told everyone she has a home on a lake? Well actually, she has a house across the road from the lake. She has about 160 feet of lakefront across the State Highway along with her property. A dock and a float in the water to tie up her small sail boat. And centrally located 20 minutes from down town Albany and the New York State Thruway and all the connecting highways in all directions. So I guess her friends think up excuses to get out to see her and hang out by the lake. That's okay, if I had a home on a lake, all my friends would be there every weekend too. So it’s home in Frankfort, NY and the Beautiful Mohawk Valley, for the weekend. Maybe I’ll take a short road trip for the day somewhere.
Keep your stick on the Ice.

Yes, I’m ready for the Margarita’s and the Rum Runners. All I need is a Hawaiian shirt. I feel like I’m in the tropics today. It’s so freaking hot out. I don’t plan on leaving the house today. I turned on the big air conditioner in the living room about 9:30 in the morning. So far I’ve been comfortable. But it will warm up in the apartment. Hoping it cools down before the weekend. I’m going down to visit with my sister on Saturday after Kiwanis. Get to see how big Tucker is getting. I’ve been keeping track of him and his antics on Dogster.com. Sue has an online diary of the mutt’s escapades and growing pains. If it’s to hot, I’ll just go down for the day and come back at night. I’d rather stay till Monday, I need a little vacation from the ho hum world of Frankfort, NY
I didn’t win the lotto jackpot last night, not that I had a chance any way. Yesterday was the first time in a long while that I bought a ticket. Got the usual, two numbers and nothing more, Oh well. I do better on scratch offs. I haven’t bought any of those either. I have to wait until next week to see about my Medicaid and other aid I might be eligible for. Guess it’s time for another cool drink…. Not too much in the alcoholic department. I don’t have any Gin, Rum or Tequila in the house, so I guess there’s no tropical drinks, just Bourbon Scotch and Cognac. Not that I’m going to open my bottle of Johnny Walker Blue. I’m saving that for a real, I mean real special occasion.
I’m not really a scotch drinker, but Johnny Blue is different. I’ve had Johnny Gold, and that’s not to bad. I can actually drink it. I can drink expensive scotch, not the regular $30.00 bottle, only the best stuff in scotch for me. I can’t get into the taste of the cheaper stuff; it tastes just like Iodine mixed in water. Yuck! The better price stuff is a lot smother and has more flavor to me.
So, I don’t drink scotch to often. Like once in several blue moons….. But give me Bourbon or Tennessee Whiskey, and I’m in heaven……
Me and those Southern boys, get along very well. You know, my friend’s, Jack and Jim, and The Old Grand Dad himself. I also have lots of other Southern friends that might not be so well known. Like the makers of fine bourbon’s, Makers Mark, Blanton’s, Woodfords Reserve, and the entire premium Jim Beam brands. I guess I like the American made products better. Not that the other whiskeys from around the world are an inferior product. Oh well. I’m getting thirsty talking about it. Time to go……..

What else is new?
I’m a little annoyed.
My car was leaking Transmission Fluid again. I had that fixed a few weeks ago. Luckily I was at Brads house when I found out it was leaking badly. He tighted up the fittings and hopefully it won’t leak any more. Brad also put a can of gas in the air conditioner for me and I have cool air in the truck again.
I figured I wouldn’t get my a/c fixed till next year. It still worked sort of. Like it took three times as long to cool down, but now it’s instant cool.
I took him to lunch for doing the fixin on the truck. Went to our usual lunch place, Ponderosa for Salad Bar. The chicken wings were pretty good today.
It’s f’n hot out again. Brutally hot again. What else is new????????????

Doc,thunder, and music
Well I guess it was a typical trip to the doctors yesterday. Same typical questions and stuff. This guy is nice like my other doctor. He’s willing to wait to see if my Medicaid comes though. I finally got in touch with someone in Herkimer. Unfortunately the person who has my case is on vacation. So, I have to wait to talk with her. Oh well!!
That means I pretty much had a wasted day, but that’s cool. I got out of the house and was out in the sun before the rain and thunderstorms came through. It was a beautiful day, then thunder, and lightning. There was a lot of lightning, which was cool to watch. Even in the evening it was thunder booming and lot’s of lightning. Always love to watch the thunderstorms…
When we were kids, we’d be up visiting my grandparents outside of Dolgeville, we would sit on the porch evenings watching the thunderstorms all night. They seemed to converge from all directions above the farm. All most as much fun as watching fireworks….
Not to be a complainer, but… have you ever noticed that most idiots behind the wheel are in a hurry to go nowhere. Not once, twice I had people in such a hurry behind me, pass me on the right while I was pulling back into the right hand lane going down Genessee St. Only to pull back into the left lane, to make a left hand turn, right in front of me. They couldn’t FUCKING wait two extra seconds for me to move over. I had my signal on to move right but they were too god damn close to see the signal. But the good thing was that both had to wait at light’s to make their turn… Hahahaha!!!
Serves them right. Patience, patience. Enough of my ranting.
I had a quiet evening, except the thunder, at home last night. I watched this program on CMT about Southern Rock. Not that I watch a lot of CMT, but it turned out to be well worth the effort. It dealt with the Allmans, Marshall Tucker, Lynyrd Skynyrd and CDB. Also about Muscle Shoals, and the music that came out of Georgia and that area. Spent a lot of time on Duane Allman and his band and working with the guys at Muscle Shoals and others, like Eric Clapton and the Derek and the Dominoes album. All in all I recommend seeing it if you get the chance. They always show it several times. A must see if you were into the late sixties Hippie movement and the Southern Rock era. Gee’s I’m letting you know how old I am……. I remember all of that stuff. I used to stay up late to listen to the areas only album rock station. At the time it wasn’t a full time album rock station, only after 11:30 or 12 midnight. That was during the early seventies. Wow, that’s kind of old! Listen folk’s I remember Penny candy and 5 cent packs of gum. Candy bars were a dime. My dad had a fit when cigarettes went up to four or five dollars for a carton. Now I feel OLD………
But don’t feel bad, I’m still young at heart, so they say. I’m not in AARP yet. I still have a few years yet. Not to many though. Guess I’ve said enough, Keep your stick on the ice.
