Yes I think it’s just freakin great. We finally got SNOW, (that dirty four letter word we dread this time of year), Big Fat Hairy Deal! Not that we got much, just enough to cover the ground this morning. But it looked slippery out, and Mark said the sidewalks were slippery. Oh well, guess we can’t put it off any more. Just last night I turned up the heat to about 58degrees. I’m still scared to turn it up any more than I have. NiMo will be really expensive this winter. Good thing I filled out that application for HEAP.
I’m soaking my beans for my dreaded Kielbasa bean soup. Yes the almighty will be heard from this weekend. Think I’ll make it Saturday. Es I need to go get some Kielbasa, and maybe a six pack of beer with that. I’m invited to Herman’s, Oh, excuse me, Keith’s house for Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner. I guess every one over there has got to work on Thanksgiving. I’ll bet at all different times that day, so they wanted to get everyone together on Sunday when they are all available at one time.
Both René and Paul work at the area hospitals and Keith works evenings and Kim works overnights so It’s hard to get them all together. It should be a good day on Sunday for all…. Maybe I’ll bring something in the alcohol related or maybe something from the bakery… I don’t know. I’ll have to see if I can figure out what to bring.
I finaly got my back door sealed up today, and was checking out the spare room to see if I needed to seal the window up. I got to snooping in my boxes of stuff and found my sharpening stones that I’ve been looking for, for a long time. So after I cleaned up the hallway mess, I sharpened my kitchen knives. Watch out, they are now pretty sharp. I also found a book I’ve been looking for, for quite some times. I know I loaned it to someone, but couldn’t figure out whom, and if I got it back. So now I have a book that I haven’t read in a long time, to read again. It’s another book by Harry Harrison, called The Turing Option. He’s one of my favorite writers. Kind of a departure from his Stainless Steel Rat books. But I remember it was very good. It’s about a scientist working in robotics and Artificial Intelligence, who gets shot in the head and has his brain damaged by the bullet, Then has a chip implanted in his brain, to help him be able to be rehabilitated and all that stuff. Really involved, but well worth the time.
Guess I’ll be getting to my reading……
See you later. But remember to Keep Your Stick on the Ice..
